 Mousetrap Cars and Accessories

Do you notice something wrong in the picture above?  Yes, I installed the mousetrap the wrong direction.
The instructions are good, but I thought I could watch TV and build the car without reading the instructions closely
.

(Left Picture) The rear end of the car pivots around plastic bolt making it very easy to adjust the car to track
straight.  Mousetrap cars are often run down long hallways and getting the car to run straight is a major problem
with many mousetrap cars. At this point I did not have the wheels pulled out far enough on the axle, Alden
Balmer suggests the wheels should be out to the ends of the axle, do not worry about the side play.
(Right Picture) All materials needed for the kit are included, you only need glue.

(Left Picture) Mousetrap postioned as it should be.                           (Right Picture)  Closer view of the big wheel installed.

I had the pleasure to review the Big Cheese mousetrap car from Doc Fizzix Products. For distance competition
this is an ideal car with the huge front wheel and the adjustable steering feature. With a large wheel, for every
turn of the axle, the wheel moves the car farther. Material for the wheel is light which improves the
"rotational inertia", which means the car can start moving easier.

Watch for future run report.
